This clearly represents the unfinished nature of the Democratic project in the US. It will appeal to Democratic supporters hoping that one day the project will be completed, and it will also appeal to Republicans, giddy that the Democratic project remains unfinished.
The painting is a reference to one of Michael’s paintings that went viral in 2017 when Madonna shared a post of Michael’s on Facebook.

Ukraine War - £4,200
Depicting the Russian might as Bear with Soviet Red Star with Hammer and Sickle and another angrier Bear with ‘Z’ – not Z for Zelensky but initially served as a way for Russian forces to identify each other and avoid friendly fire, but it has since become a symbol of support for the invasion, both within Russia and abroad.
The lady in the painting is Nadya Tolokonnikova from the Russian feminist protest and performance art group ‘Pussy Riot’ based in Moscow. In April last year, Russia sentenced Pussy Riot activist Pyotr Verzilov to Eight Years & 4 months for social media posts criticising the war in Ukraine.
