Set of 5 Georgian Teaspoons by the Bateman Family

£195.00

These weight 65.37 grams and are 12cm x 2.5 cm. Hallmarks dated London 1806 but oddly are missing the leopards head for London, however we’re comfortable it is London because of the markers mark. The makers mark is for Peter and William Bateman who worked together from 1805 to 1814 in London. Peter Bateman is the second son of world renowned Hester Bateman (1709 - 1794), the most famous 18th century English female silversmith, with William Bateman being a nephew to Hester.
